HI,
The birth control pills may cause some weight gain, often due to fluid retention. But the weight gain is not of significant amounts, and not for most women. Several types of hormonal birth control are available. Birth control pills typically rely upon a combination of estrogens and progesterone and a lower dose pill may cause less weight gain. Hence if you have to take the pill then, choose a low-dose contraceptive which will reduce the risks of side effects, including weight gain. Watch your weight, eat a healthy diet, and exercise regularly.
You could also consider an intrauterine device (IUD) with a low dose of hormones, like the Mirena or vaginal rings.

Hello,
Most of the birth control have weight gain as their side effect due to their hormonal effect. You can try using condoms as they are not hormonal and will not cause weight gain. You can also go in for norplant or Mirena IUD.
