I was on the shot for 4.5 years, I have been off for almost 3; I still have no regular period. I was told that being on the shot so long could have made me sterile.

I took the shot 3 times and my doctor told me it could take up to two years for it to leave the system. I will never go on the shot again. After having my 2nd child, I bled up until my 6 week check up, which is normal. Then I got the shot during that check up and I have been bleeding for 9 months ever since. I have been off of it for almost 2 months and I am still bleeding, sometimes heavily. The doctor told me it's normal, but I'm not sure.

It can take 6 months to a year for the drugs to finally leave your body.
