How big is the lump, is it inside or outside the vagina and is it hard or soft?  I would recommend you see your doctor for an examination.  Small little things could even be the texture of the inside of the vagina but without an examination you cannot be sure.

Try not to worry and consider making an appointment to see your doctor.  It is a good idea to have your questions ready before you go for your appointment.

Pat190 do you want to describe what doesnt look right down there.  Do you feel a lump or pressure in the vagina?  Do you have any other symptoms?

It sounds like you may have a yeast ( candida ) infection.  Some infections like this can happen due to overgrowth of yeast cells in the vagina.  Is there a discharge and what colour is it?  It is possible to have bacterial overgrowth as well, which can also happen on its own.  Both are easily treatable.

I advise you to go to your doctor for it to be assessed.  Please dont be embarrassed.  It is very common for women to get candida infections and they are often itchy.  Explain to your doctor also how you feeling that it doesnt look right inside so this can be assessed as well, to make sure there are are no prolapse issues.

I hope this helps pat190.  Please let us know if you want any more help on this.
