Problems such as yeast infections usually actually begin in the stomach. It is an upset of bacteria in the body. It occurs after antibiotic use, among other things. When the level of good bacteria in the body has been lowered, fungus is left to overgrow, unchecked by the bacteria which would normally fight it. Nystatin is good. It is an anti-fungal mouth rinse. Swish it in your mouth for 30 seconds and then swallow. Missy is right, eat lots of yogurt. The best thing you can do is also to purchase probiotics and take them as directed. If the bottle says 1-3 times daily, take 3 daily. You can find the best kind at health food stores. These are kept in the fridge and ensure the bacteria is still live.

very easily treated - i think you can even get the stuff from the chemist without seeing a doctor.  YOu want to get hold of some nystatin - either nilstat drops or pastilles.
and eat lots of natural yogurt.... and you can definitely spread it by kissing... not so sure bout the other, but you should probably avoid oral sex til your mouth heals anyway.
