pregnant??

i am late for my period and have had pregnancy symptons(cravings, breast tenderness/darker areola, morning sickness, mood swing), but a pregnancy test came out negative..could i be pregnant?

generally HPTs are reliable, as long as used at the correct time - if you use it too soon, it wont be accurate.  THe definitive result is best obtained by getting an HCG blood test.  THis way you will know for sure.

Alisha...you may just be pregnant! But your HCG level is not yet high enough to be detected by a home pregnancy test! It has happened to me so many times when I got tricked by HPT. I can suggest 2 options:

1. Take a blood test. If your HCG level is >5 then you're positive! OR
2. Try taking the HPT test in 3/4 days again. If you are pregnant, your HCG level should normally double in 48 hours which should be high enough for HPT to detect.
