4th dose

I took my fourth dose yesterday and I feel beat up today. I am posting these so I can a. help anyone else but also b. I can look back at the where I came from.  I am noticing for 2 weeks now, I feel better on saturdays.  Not crazy better, but better. One month down 2 to go until I can retest.  I am pretty blue today with my VDD but I know it will get better.  I am happy I can work from home some days!

Hang in there!  I just completed my 10th dose and it does take time, but you will feel better.  I was so frustrated/depressed feeling like I would never feel like ME again.  Not that I'm 100% yet, but I started to feel more like me after the 5th week.  I, too, am taking the 50,000 IU of D2 once a week for 12 weeks and came to this forum searching for some insight.  I swear I thought I was going to lose it.  I started out dizzy and dehydrated with palpitations when I was diagnosed.  I also had nausea, but only during the morning hours, almost like morning sickness.  Most of that has disappeared at this point and the rest is tolerable.  While I was reading the posts, I came across a comment from one person reminding me that it took me a long time to become deficient in my vitamin D and that I should remember it would take awhile to build it back up.  Something that is so simple and so true, but it just doesn't generate with you when you feel like CRAP.  You WILL get better and you WILL feel better.  I also had chronic neck pain, abominal pain and swelling every day.  While I still have some pain, it's not nearly as severe and it's not every day.  HANG IN THERE!!

I think I listed my intolerance symptoms somewhere. The were heart palpitations, severe joint/muscle/bone aches to the point where it's difficult to walk, nervousness, thirst, frequent urination, and I think a little nausea...literally a lot of the stuff under the adverse effects section of the package insert.

I have read that in comments before, when you said you had problems tolerating what do you mean? It is pretty bad, but I do feel better through the week (its what gives me hope).  It was awful yesterday.  If I didn't know better I would have sworn I had the flu (with no fever).  Today it is a smidge better but I still have body aches, muscle aches, upset stomach and am very fatigued (no fever or chills, I am sure it is VDD). Are these the symptoms that made you switch?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you're taking the megadoses of vitamin D (D2 50000 IUs). I had problems tolerating this and switched to D3 gel caps taken with meals 4400 IUs daily. It eliminated the problems I experienced with the megadoses, though I did get worse before I got better. Hope you're feeling better keep us posted.
