I have this problem, too.  You can try alpha lipoic acid (dosage on bottle) and acetyl L carnitine (minimum of 600 mg.)

I have had many of your experiences.  Dizziness with some falls. (My dizziness was not the spinning type, but more of "rocking on a boat in a hurricane" type.)  There was a thought that I might have MS, but there were no plaques on my brain.  Did have some neuropathies, but they were a small patch on my right side of my face near my hairline and a larger area on my leg.
Now that I have gotten and stayed in the normal range with the VDD.  I have not had the one on my face and the one that is on my leg comes and goes.  Beginning to wonder if it is not due to the VDD.  I am sorry that I don't have any ideas of how to help the pain.  I didn't find that pain meds (neither OTC or rx) helped.  There is a med called Neurontin that is supposed to help with neuropathy pain.  You might talk to your doctor about it.
