I am also interested in the answer to your question. I had a "visual disturbance" that the opthamologist said sounded like a retinal migraine. I ahve other neuro/ symptoms, though.
Hi. I have lesions on my brain too and have had vision abnormalities. the eye doc said they were were optical migraines. I was like okay and as far as the lesions, my neuro said they were probably the start of migraines. For the last two weeks I have had migraines! What is up here? Let me know when you get the answer. I posted a link here but no one got back to me yet.
Thanks
Lea
This is the members' help forum, not the expert answers section. I don't think Dr. Kantor is still with us, either, though I could be wrong about that. I believe that I read somewhere that MedHelp was looking for a new MS expert to help with the other board, as had previously been Dr. Kantor's responsibility..
Here, a wonderful group of knowledgeable and caring people takes care of one another. Welcome. However, I'm afraid that I can't answer your specific question. Someone else may chime in.
I have atypical migraines and MS the difference is my vision problems go away with my migraine. With the MS my left side is always affected but when I get a migraine on top of it it gets worse for awhile.
Doctors have a tendency to not look past the Migraine. Neurologists specialize in different things such as, headaches, or pain, or brain injuries, or MS. It is important to seek out an MS Specialist if you can.
You have had at least one MRI. Do you see a Neurologist?
I have had visual disturbances for a year now... and paresthesias, dizziness, slurred spedech sometimes, etc... its not MS, I have been to many neurologists and to 2 MS specialists (neuros), it got ruled out... One MS specialist said it can be migraine with auras... I am taking one pill everyday, i feel better in the way that some symptoms stopped. Can be a case of chronic migraine...
Gaucho, what pill is it? Could there be one I've not tried?
Hey, the drug is called ''Flunarizina''... i dont know the name in the USA though....
