Love it, it reminds me to watch what I think. :) Thanks for the reminder.
i am glad i found this on MedHelp. this site has been a blessing to me. i have a board above my puter area that is loaded with all kinds of one liners some r funny and some are not so and most all are uplifting to me in one way or another.
here is one for the moment...i thought about it cuz it is one of my faves and one of the first posts i read kinda mentions it....
Watch your thoughts
They become your words
Watch your words
They become actions
Watch your actions
They become habits
Watch your habits
They become your character
Watch your character
For it becomes your destiny
i wish i had the Author info, but i don't. i am just grateful i kept this on my desk area and hope u find some meaning with this one. it may not be so "happy" but it does help remind me that my thoughts can become my destiny. i try every day to continue working on positive thoughts...i believe you can even "fake it til u make it". i know that it can be an uphill battle but once you start thinking that way more and more it did help me to feel more optimistic. i hope it gives your spirit a little lift toward a better place. we can all get low...but we always have those boot straps to pull ourselves outta there...right RIGHT ON!!! love and peace to all here
Those are all great recommendations, thanks
We wear big bloomers, don't we, girls?
Dang...those "typo's" are spreading. I am under the illusion that I was cursed by MJI for teasing her about her "buttiful" stories and now....the slips are happening more frequently. I was a class A speller...now look at me :-((((
This is when a shot of "postive drinking" is needed.
Yes, I could drink from Joni's well for a lonnnng time. She speaks so beautifully and I loaned out a tape with her song about dancing someday with the Lord and the person never gave it back
The memory stuck and maybe that was meant to be because it made me cry. Barrington Bunny story makes me cry....can't get through it without the tears popping out....big baby I am.
April, you are forgiven of your snafu typo...lol!
;-),
D.
Sorry, typo. I meant to say Tada not Tado.
I like Joni Eareckson Tado. I heard her speak once in our church. She really is touched by God.
Dave Pelzer: Help Yourself
Stan Toler & Martha Bolton: God has never failed me, but He's sure scared me to death a few times
John C. Maxwell: Be a People Person
ok...no flack here----Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work
Karla Dornacher: Love in Every Room
Joni Eareckson Tada: Glorious Intruder
Just a few or more to start with.....
d:-D
I like books on Angels and Miracles. I'm reading one now on the Miracles of Forgiveness. It comes from a whole series of Miracle books. It's really good.
Have you read The Secret? If so, what did you think of that? I liked it but took it with a grain of salt. Some I liked, some I wasn't sure about.
I love reading true stories of Missionaries. After I read a book, I usually give it away. So I guess I need to write down the names to pass along too. :) Someone recommended "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. It is also a book about positive thinking. I still need to read it though.
Thank you. Nice to meet you too. :) Are there any books you recommend? I love to read. :)
I am so glad you found us too. :) I agree with everything you said. I have heard great things about "The Power of Positive Thinking" , but have not as yet have read it. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more positive conversations with you.
