EYELASH-

December 26, 2009 I went to a hair salon and got fake eyelashes on top of my real ones. My real eyelashes were already long and full. But I wanted to get fake ones for a wedding that I was going to attend that day. I was told by the lady that placed the eyelashes not to rub on my eyes or to wash the area because they would come off right away. She told me they were suppose to last 20 days, because she did them one by one. Its already January 11,2010 and they have not fully fallen out i still have fake pieces letf. But When the fake ones started to come off, my real ones ended up falling off as well. The length is not the same and I lost a lot of my real eyelashes.  I have lost more than half of my real eyelashes and I can see bald spots. I am really concerned and scared. I made an app. with a dermotolgist so that i can go on latisse treatment I do not know how that will work !?!  Will they grow back ? How long will it take? ( with out the product of anykind)? do they naturally grow back??
please someone help .

Hello,
Unless and until there is permanent damage to the hair follicles of eyelid hair, it usually grows back. It grows back in usually two weeks but sometimes may take 4-6 weeks. Apply olive oil and take some vitamin supplements for some days. Also eat a healthy, nutritious diet and drink plenty of fluids. The most important nutrients are biotin, silica, magnesium, sulfur, zinc, and vitamin B6. There are many eyelash growth products in the market, but their efficacy has not been scientifically proven. So consult a dermatologist before using any of them.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
