No period after D&C...high HCG of 196!
I had my D&C 7 weeks ago and still don't have my period. I was 12 weeks pregnant at the time. I went in two days ago for bloodwork and my HCG levels were at 196. I just went today and they told me they were going down...didn't give me a number. I'm waiting for a call from my doctor because the nurse is so mean and makes me feel bad for asking questions. I'm ready to kill her! Anyways, she told me that I was pregnant and it wasn't a normal pregnancy. We have been safe and I never received my period so am I misscarrying again or are my levels just still going down from the D&C 7 weeks ago??

I had a d&c november 5th 2010 its now december 30th and still no period??? Whaat is going on is this normal
Did you get pregant naturally? I am doing IVF. I have to say I am happy I am getting major blood work for clotting disorders done which they usually never do except after miscarriage 2x. My Dr is doing now. I do also have to have an HSG again so kinda annoyed...but anxious about the inticipation of starting again......

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prays. I just had my second bloodwork done and my doctor said that my HCG levels were going down from 196 to 146. When I asked him what this meant he said that there is the possibility that there was some leftover tissue from the D&C that is causing the high numbers...but most likely not. He thinks that I actually got pregnant a couple weeks ago and am misscarrying AGAIN! I can't believe it. We used condoms most of the time and when we didn't we used the withdrawal method. My doctor said that the withdrawal method is not 100% effective...ughh... I just want to get my period and move on. It has been such an emotional rollar coaster. I feel like such an idiot for getting pregnant again when clearly my body wasn't ready. Good luck to you and your family. Hopefully you wont' have to go through this again.
OMG. I am so sorry this is happening. I have yet to get my period but it's been 2 weeks & my HCG is now 1.6
