Thanks for the idea. I discussed this rather thoroughly with the doctor; she feels that it’s more of an issue with my own adaptive immune system rather than with the product itself. We talked about double dosing inoculate, etc… she claims that around 10% of patients are unable to develop immunity regardless. I was told that if I travel to areas where HBV is endemic, to request HBV immunoglobin shortly prior to departure, and to otherwise avoid exposure. Again, thanks—

why dont you try
a single hep b therapy apparently its more effective i cant remember the one favoured here in uk, but its highly effective , damn its anoying me now !
Many of us are diagnosed with HCV and begin the Twinrix series (A&B) soon afterwards; if it’s wrong, you have plenty of company :o). I don’t believe there are any issues with it; however, you should consider asking for follow up serology to be certain that you developed protective antibodies; I vaccinated twice, and have been unable to develop immunity to HBV.
Good luck—

i dont think it will interfere with your tx.but: it might not take , so i would suugest an antibody test to check you have suffient antibodies, as opposed to assuming you are protected.......
It doesn't matter one whit.
Get up in the morning and take your riba's then go take the shot at whatever time you have planned and voila........you're on the road. Seriously, makes no difference at all.
I do know why they are needed and why, I was wondering if they would interfere with the treatment starting this Friday. I was thinking it was close timing. I want to do my best for the 48 weeks as well as protect my liver from further damage. I really wished I would have thought to ask my doc but my memory goes out the window alot of times!
If you want the immunization to stick you gotta do them all. As you have had hep and have liver damage the point is to make sure you dont GET hepA or B and cause more damage than you already have.
We all get them. It won't affect the meds or treatment, you do need them.
