Just a suggestion - if you wake your Lo for a feed (to avoid a 4/5 hr stretch without a feed because she is asleep) you will soon see her gaining weight. With very young babies, you should always ensure they are feeding every 3 hrs even if they are asleep. Especially if she's lot weight - wake her up, feed her, and you can always put her down and back to sleep afterwards. Oh and congrats on the birth of your new baby :)
baby Britton is a week and 2 days old today :) i wrote a journal about her since shes been home for a week. she has a Ped appointment on wed so ill be able to tell you more then but when we went to the doc earlier this week she had lost 7oz. :( hopefully with all the super eating shes been doing she has gained some weight back. i exclusively pump, which is going really well. storing lots of milk for the future just incase my supply goes down at all. she sleep 4-5 hours at a time at night and will sleep 4-5 more after she is fed. she is such a good baby and haven't really had any problems with her. but she does eat a lot! anywhere from 2-4 oz every feed. eating 7-8x a day
Lilli is 6 days old as today and she's so cute! Since I'm breastfeeding her on demand her hours are weird, but last night she slept a solid 5 hours, I was so surprised! i don't know if its because I fed her for like an hour straight before she went to sleep or because she slept on top of my husband's chest (she loves to sleep there). My nipples are as sore as ever as so is all my body! getting a csection ***** but it was all worth it
Glad to hear all is going well with you guys! 10oz in a week is great! Sounds like we have a bunch of good babies!
Well i took Isabella to the doc today and she gained 10 ounces in one week. She is now weighing 8lbs 4 ounces. She is breastfeeding only but i pump sometimes just to get her used to the bottle as i will be going back to work in 3 weeks and she will have to drink breast milk from a bottle. I am not happy about going back to work, i think its going to be very hard to leave her with my mother in law but i have to, dont have a choice. She is eating every 3 to 4 hours during the day and at night she only wakes up twice, which is good cause i like to sleep. Other than that everything is going great, she is due back at the doc in two months. Hope everyone else is doing good as well!
Thanks! Im really missing being home today...Maybe its because its so nice outside! Glad to hear all is going well. Im really looking forward to Lo's pedi appt tomorrow, he looks like he's getting bigger the NB diapers are getting a little small :) but he's still a lil peanut, so skinny!
express? do you mean Pump? right. (lol) I think they say at least around 4 weeks.
Where doing really well Matilda is 3 weeks now and breastfeeding well she feeds every 3 hours through day and wakes 2 times through the night so i cant really complain when i got her weighed last she had gained 10oz in 7days so mummy must be making good milk lol...just cant wait for her to start fitting in bigger clothes as where still in 7.8lb and starting to fit into new born!
just wondering when can i start to express as well as bfeed her as i dont want to introduce bottle if it will confuse her when she comes to latching on??
Cant believe your back to work but if its got to be done!! im so lucky im not due back to work till end of october so mostly live in my pjs at mo hehe
Glad Logan doing well and your pics of him and boys are beautifull xx
