Very confused ....Please HELP!!!

Sir,
I had virginal sex using condom with 2 ladies on 15 & 17 Feb . I think of NO breakage of condom. NO SURE NOW

I had unprotected sex with my wife on the 19th Feb and few more times till 24 Feb. On the 25 Feb I had lower back pains for 2 days, It went away after I took few pain relief pills.

On  28 feb I had  sore throat and cough, & I it felt as if I had some fever  I had a severe cough and I did sleep for 2 nights bec I was coughing continuously. I was ok after 4-5 days.

Same time, my wife had sore throat & cough, On 3 march she vomited 2 times, she thinks its bec of food.

Next, on the 6th March she had fever of 103 (2 days) and also had diarrhea at the same time (2 days)  - &  she was feeling VERY tired all the time. (The doc said some throat infection - that caused fever  & she was not eating well during her being sick so she was tired) She was feeling fatigued for another 7-8 days, DID NOT move out of the bed during this time. On 18th March she fully recovered.

Can my wife be infected from me, before I started showing any symptoms?

Then she had some rash on her shoulders - she was not sure when she got the rash.

On the 20 March I was feeling sick and sweating for 2 days.
From 31 march - 7 april  I have been having pains which keep on moving from one part of the body to another. I have had tingling sensation in the cheeks (1 day), some pain in the left eye, my throat still sores at times. And for the last 3-4 days I have noticed that there are some light red dots on my palm of hands.

Since 7th april, I am still experiencing symptoms daily ... like pain in neck, hands and feet going numb when I am sleeping and had sore throat for over a week and had fever for 1 day....
Yesterday my wife had RASH on her leg. One big round red raise RASH very itchy?
Do I need to get tested for HIV? And do our symptoms sound like ars?
I am confused …. Its both of us showing the same symptoms at the same time.
Most of my symptoms are coming after week 5 - is that common?

One last time, and this will be the last time becasue further questions will be deleted without comment, NO- this does not suggest any STD, including HIV. EWH

Thanks for the follow-up.  Your doctor is being careful with you and your wife's health and it is difficult to fault him for that.  I am confident the tests will be negative.  Take care.  EWH

Hello doctor
my doc ordered me those test bec he told me that burning , bad taste and numbness could need to be ruled out. I discussed with him ab my stress and anxiety and he still thinks that it should be ruled out. I think the same.

I believe that the condom worked and reassureyself all the time, but I only panic when my wife shows any symptoms.

I am replying from my phone so I am sorry ab typos.

Sir, I am scared ab my wides rash and some pain in my penis.

I am writing this so that I could explain you more clearly.
sir, I would only post once my result for non-STD test come - once again I would like to thank you for all your help and sir I am eagerly waiting your your reply.

Thanks for your reply doctor.

Iwould like to add that initially I was very much thinking that my symptoms could be bec of stress. And anxiety.

But for last few days I have been trying to relax but symptoms are not going away. I forgot to tell you that I had bad taste in my mouth last week as well.

Also I have less stress than my words show.

Y'day I got stressed out when I show rash on my wife' s leg. Pls she is not at all stressed and is
well.

Do you think that I need testing - honestly I don't want to bec I want to believe your reasoning.

And today I was feeling some pain in my penis- I honestly don't like to add to the the of symptoms.

Do you think that these symptoms could be any other STD?

My doc has advised me to get tested for kidney, liver, thyroid and calestrol - I value your judgement more as ur more knowledgable in STD

Sir, please advise. Thanks

Also I have not tested so far as I also believe that condom never failed.

Welcome to our Forum. In preparing to answer your question I took a look at your interaction on the HIV Prevention Community site so I have the benefit of seeing what was said there.  To get to the bottom line first, you can be confident that you do not have HIV from your protected exposures to licensed commercial sex workers and really have no reason either for concern of for testing.  Now to elaborate a bit.

First, the chance that your partners had HIV is vanishingly low.  Licensed commercial sex workers are regularly checked for STDs and HIV and not permitted to work if they have HIV.   In addition you used a condom and can be confident that it did not break.  When condoms fail, they break wide open leaving no question that they have failed.  Your condom did not fail.  Condoms work.  thus you are not at risk for HIV from your exposures.

As for infecting your wife during intercourse soon after your exposure to the CSWs, forget it. People with HIV do not become infectious for partners until at least a week and more typically longer after they acquire their infection.  In your case, you were traveling and this is a situation in which community/travel-related viral infections (non-sexually transmitted) are common.  Your and her symptoms are consistent with this and, in your case, a good dose of guilt related anxiety.

You really have no reason for concern or worry.  If you feel you must, you could go and get tested to prove to yourself that you did not get HIV.  At this time, more than 8 weeks since your exposure, if you had gotten HIV or if ANY of the symptoms you describe were related to HIV, your tests would be positive.  I am confident however that your test, should you decide to seek testing will PRVOE that you did not get HIV from the exposures you describe.

I hope this helps. Take some deep breaths, relax and figure out what you are going to do about your guilt.  EWH
