Beliefs {Poem}

I speak my beliefs because they are mine.
I Speak my beliefs because they are what i know to be true.
I speak my beliefs with a strong proud voice because they are mine.

You Speak your beliefs because they are yours
You speak your beliefs because they are what you know to be true
you speak your beliefs with a strong proud voice because they are yours

And if I'm ever swayed from those beliefs
Then did I truly believe
Then were mine flawed
Or perhaps my beliefs where not my own after all

If my beliefs are not my own
Then whos are they?
Why did I adopt them?

When asked would i die for my beliefs
saying no
Does this make me less of a believer
Does my belief really requare my sacrafice in such a way?

But after all this what beliefs I have are important
much like the wind to a windmill
for my beliefs keep me moving
Or laws to a judge
for my beliefs set my standerds which i must abide by.

but if you claim your beliefs are better then mine then who is the fool.
For my beliefs have affected you
by me

True You should say how you feel who knows maybe what you say will touch someones heart


OMG I forgot about this poem but its says my feeling perfect and I'm glad it helped you come to some understanding we all want to do that so dont beat yourself up we must just keep doing

First, the dictionary on my phone had learned the word Cloudwindgate.  :)

Second, I read this poem at the perfect moment because I was just feeling frustrated by how so many of these threads are crushed under the weight of a few peoples' dogma.  When someone tries to cram what they believe down my throat it comes as no surprise to me that I resist and eventually run.  I even caught myself scanning the list of post contributors so that I could avoid threads dominated by those folks then realized that it is the more potentially enlightening discussions that bring out these ##### posts.  

I've learned something in MH..., it is my personal experience that is meaningful to post in a discussion, not what I think the other person should know.  I haven't got it down right yet, but I'm working at it.
