Break though bleeding day 11-14 on ortho tri cyclen

I am experiencing breakthrough bleeding on ortho tri cyclen, between days 11 and 14 in my BC pack. The doctor syas it happens and it is only annoying but I really would like to not have to endure three or four days of breakthrough bleeding or spotting every month. It is messy and not very pleasant during inter course. What other pill combination would lessen this?  I am open to a type and dose that will stop this.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Breakthrough bleeding or spotting is most common when you first start using a method and it usually stops after the first 2-6 months of starting the pill. You can try to take the pill at the same time each day. This can help in minimizing the hormone fluctuations, and thus the breakthrough bleeding. It is best to consult your gynecologist about it and if the symptoms are severe she may recommend you some suitable medication. Do keep me posted.
Take care and regards!
