How Often Are Your Ultrasounds?

Hello all. I'm 19 weeks pregnant and have only had 2 ultrasounds. One at 9 weeks and one just this week. I am set to have one more but only because the baby was moving too much to get good measurements. Otherwise, I wouldn't have any more. I hear of other pregnant women having ultrasounds every time they go... what's the norm?

Berkley04 looks like you and I have some funny babies! Lol mine wouldn't hold still either! so they couldn't get a good look at his heart then he had turned just to where they couldn't see his c spine lol! So they had me walk around and do squats and that little guy had curled up into a ball and wasn't having it lol

Sounds like it. They couldn't label all of the brain and had trouble with the heart and the spine as well. She didn't have me move around though and I wish she would have. We'll see on 12/14 when I go back!

I didn't even have an early dating one. Unless there is some special reason my doc only does the 20wk anatomy scan.

Well that's odd. Perhaps your insurance doesn't cover it? It really should though.

I had dating at 13 weeks and anatomy scan 2 days ago at 20 weeks. That will be it unless I or baby develop any problems.

Thanks for all the answers. I was beginning to think something was wrong with my doctor's office.

2 ultrasounds is the norm. Unless you're high risk or go to a specific clinic and pay for an extra ultrasound then you won't get anymore.

I had the dating scan and the genetic testing scan and recently the anatomy scan but I'll have to go for another because he was stubborn and they couldn't measure everything they needed to

It really depends on your doctor and if your high risk.
My last pregnancy and likely this one I will only have a dating one and then the anatomy scan.
