Renal mass showed on ultrasound

I had severe kidney infection mid May 2018 ...fever 102 and chills for three days. I took one round ten days of antibiotic. June 27 had ultrasound shows mass on same side that I was in pain from infection. I am scheduled for ct scan July 9th. I am nervous but are there chances that the infection still has reminisce or could have not all been gone ...even though urine looked ok?

Ok so the ct scan showed I have abnormal shaped kidney but now it found nodule on left lung that it caught :( the doctor said rescan in a year but I feel why so long ? Does anyone know how common it is to wait ? I am waiting for the portal to show me the actual report and I can share more specifics.
