I’m 36, normal weight. Since I was 20 I’ve had IBS-type issues. My system is very slow and so when I sit down to use the toilet it takes around 20 minutes. If I have an upset stomach and I have to sit down multiple times in a day, it still takes 20 min each. It’s very annoying.
At any rate, for 15 years it’s been like this and the last 5 or more I’ve had neuropathy in my feet and legs. My legs have a decreased sensation to temperature verified by my neurologist. I now have a spot on the bottom of my one foot that is a “phantom itch”, a sort of neurological itch, also from irritated nerves being compressed.
My legs also obviously lose circulation when on the toilet that long too a bit and my feet change color. I’ve noticed a few times a year my left leg will cramp up for a whole day as not enough blood flow got to it if I’m i’m Using the toilet too much.
Sigh.
At any rate, has anyone else experienced this? Have any tricks for not letting it get worse? I’m worried this will get worse and worse. It’s like a snowball effect. First it’s my G.I, then my nerves in my legs, now my circulation. I’ve tried to fix the G.I stuff but no one could tell me what was wrong.
Thanks
