Didn’t take Levothyroxine for 3 days

I’m on vacation and somehow left my meds at home.  I went to the pharmacy to try and get a 6 day supply but had a heck of a time filling the prescription.  I finally received it late in the afternoon on the 4th day.  I went ahead and took it but now I’m wondering if I should take one in the morning.  I’m usually very diligent about taking my meds.

If you have been tested for the active thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3, please post those results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report.

Levothyroxine (T4) is relatively slow acting.  That is why doctors occasionally prescribe different doses on alternate days.  So since you essentially missed 3 days, I see no problem if you take 2 pills on alternating days, until you are caught up.

Just curious.  Since so many people find that T4 med dose not give them adequate Free T3 to relieve symptoms, I wondered how you feel on your regular dose.  And what is your daily dose?

My daily dose is .88 mcg and for the past approximately 10 years I’ve taken it regularly and feel good.  I did start feeling a bit “off” due to not taking my meds but am hoping to get back on track.
