Left Pectoral Pain

I have a continual dull pain in my left pectoral area.   I notice mostly at night and am not able to sleep on my left side...I do notice it during the day if i am still.   I tend not to notice the pain when busy.  It is not painful but more of an annoyance.   Last December, I was having severe chest pains and was rushed to emergency with the thought that I might be having a heart attack.  Blood pressure was 190/110...they ran all tests...the cardiologist ran EKG, stress tests, and finally had an angiogram done.   They stated my heart was in perfect condition.   I have been under lots of stress for the past year - more than usual.   I also had some acid reflux at the same time last year.
The pain in my left pectoral area (upper outside) still remains.  As I mentioned, it doesn't hurt constantly but several times throughout the day.
Prior to last December I was in excellent health... I worked out regularly (6x week), eat six meals a day, weighed approx. 165 lbs. I am 5.10"
After the "scare" with my heart last year, I quite working out as much...I am now at 187 lbs and haven't eaten as well.  Still in good shape though.
My doctors cannot seam to figure out the ongoing pain in the chest.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi guys,

I've been having the same exact symptoms and have visited a Cardiologist and done an exercise stress echo test and everything was good according to the doctor. I can't seem to figure out what is wrong, I swear the pain feels like a cardiac one but what do I know... Did anyone of you guys ever find out what was wrong with you? Please let me know if you did!

Not sure what forum you should post in but you should probably start your own thread so you can get answers

Maybe a heart forum or cardiovascular not sure what options we have here.

First, you're in the wrong place, this is a forum for folks with Hepatitis C. That said, since you've somehow stumbled here, I'll offer a non-professional opinion from someone who has had some "dull pain in the left pectoral area" at times.

In my case it turned out to be muscular, and since you work out "six times per week" it may fit with you as well. Do you do any weight work? If so, you might have strained your pecs. Maybe stop any chest work for a couple of weeks to allow healing.

That said, any chest pain should be checked out by a doctor. The fact that you didn't have cardiac problems last year doesn't mean you don't know. have you had a recent EKG. I would think that would be a must.

All the best,

-- Jim
