I've already got my stuff in the works to see Gish so I think I'll prob just stick with that if I can ever stay out of the hospital long enough to get the arrangements together.

Besides, I have to face it.  There are only so many options here really.  Nobody's going to open up a hatch to heaven over night and bestow unforeseen pearls of new hepc mannah and wisdom at ANY doc's office.  I'm just paying for an OPINION on the CURRENT wisdom.

Its basically like I'm just looking for an expert so can I go there like Ross Perot and say ok doc, here's the deal.  We got me over here, and over there we got choice A, choice B, choice C, Choice, D, and maybe Choice E with a little B, or Choice C with a little A thrown in for some extra flavor.  Here's some money.  So Whatdya think?  And then you hope maybe he uses some system a little more rational that my ex-husband did when grading term papers, which was to turn around, throw them all up in the air so they landed behind him, and grade them A to F, left to right...

This new format is lousy.

But I'm going to piggy-back here, since every time I've tried starting a new post, Safari crashes on me... what has med-help done to the forum???  I want the old one back.

Bad news is: I'm a relapser---did not attain SVR at 6-months post TX, which was December.  Oh well.  I see my hepatologist in two weeks to try to decide the next plan of attack.  I'm really straddling the fence here because I want the virus to be gone, yet I really don't want to subject myself to treatment again.  I'm just stoked to be feeling really good, even though my WBCs are still low (2.8), and my VL is up to almost 2 million: almost 3 times higher that it was prior to TX.  Go figure.

Andiamo: I keep wondering how you've gone through TX so many times... I have a hard time wrapping my brain around that...

But hey!  It snowed here on Maui!  (ooookaaay...what's THAT got to do with the price of beans?????)

I have been absent for almost 5 weeks. I was surpised to see we are having a "Hepatitis Social", it sounds like fun.  Meki missing is worrisome, as well as Mr.M  & Alagirl. I will try to keep up with everyone more often as My drug vacation is 1/2 over.

I've been around for about 18 months and folks come and go on a regular basis. Kinda sad. Hope its not the new format, I mean why would anyone give a rats butt. This help and support is still here. HR posted alot in Nov. & Dec. 06 but disappered after the conference info had played out. Looks like that has happened again this year. It's a great service he renders. He'll most likely check in ever so often. Sure am glad that some of the oldies stick around as they are VERY knowledgeable. You know who you are, thanks so much. jerry

Don't know if you contacted Dr. J. or Dr. D. in NYC or not -- but that would be a much shorter and more doable trip, not to mention the fact that he's one of the best in the country. In fact, what I'd do is make an appointment with both on the same day, for maximum input which I know you appreciated, as do I.

I am very worried about Meki.  Her last post said she was going to Anchorage to have a hysterectomy. I tried sending her a message on this site and one in Kodiak, but no reply.

Hi Sweetie, I haven't been two timing the site, lol - just sick and still trying to pay the bills somehow.  The combo of both of those has kept me offline I've just been so tired.
I just got out of the hospital on the 21st and I'm going back in tonight or tomorrow for another transfusion.  Then I had to have a friend drive me to Georgie to watch a load of my chicken running (they run really fast too!  j/k I was processing some chicken tenders there - and I'm not even getting paid on the stupid load.  long story, but anyway.)

More than anything though, just a lot of pain in my legs and worry about bills.

Good news is though that Dr. Gish accepted me for a consult so even though I'll need to fly there to see him, I can hopefully get the ok to drop or quit my riba altogether since I'm an acute and RVR.

I'm actually ok with the site now that they've toned down that vivid white background color.  That bothered me because of my headaches, but this format is pretty ok with me now that I'm used to it.  I did notice service delays as they've implemented new options or whatever but I guess that's to be expected.

How are you doing with your alinia?  I'm so excited for you guys - who all is on it now, you and Myown, and who else?

I keep getting locked out :{ or I'd be here more, lol!

That's what I'd said, there is several not here at all or much. Which can be a worry with us, on tx or sick, etc. So everyone need's to check in...dial up or not!

Hey there, Gauf, did you miss me??  Ha-Ha...   I've been on here enough so that I'm probably not on that list of missed people.   I prefer the old way it was to the new way, as far as the site goes.   But, I haven't left Medhelp yet....

Well, you FORGOT to mention MEEEEE!  Personally, I've been quite ill and I also can't get comfortable with the new format.

If you do hear of another site, let us know!  :)
