Lil'Jacob is here!!

Hi everyone.  Lil'Jacob made it here and he is so beautiful, I can hardly believe it. He keeps falling asleep instead of eating and he isn't retaining heat as well as they would like, but overall he is doing great.  

My water broke at 4 pm yesterday.  It started off as a trickle. I called L&D and they said to come in. While I was getting my stuff together to leave, the big gush came. I drove myself to L&D.  Dh met me there.  Contractions started pretty soon after my water broke.  I was in labor all through the night.  When I got to l&d, I was 1cm dilated.  They said I probably wouldn't dilate very well on my own since I was not more than 1cm when my water broke.  They were wrong tho. I dilated to 8.5 cm pretty quickly but unfortunately after that I wasn't dilating anymore.  So after a couple hours at 8.5cm they put me on pitosen (sp??).  At 7:00 a.m., I was 10cm so we started pushing.  OMG it was so hard.  He started off low but couldn't go any further. I pushed and pushed and pushed and pushed until 8:48 a.m. he was finally born. They had to use the vacuum to help get him out. It was so hard.  At one point I wanted to give up.  I was starting to wonder if he was ever going to make it out.  Well he did and WOW.. he so wonderful..

CONGRATS!!!! I was wondering if you had the baby. Hes adorable, and a very good weight for being 3 weeks early. Im really happy for you. Now im extra anxious. 3 more weeks for me seems like forever to me. Enjoy your little man, and Take Care.

OH HANNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO stinking happy for you!!!!! You give me so much hope and YES I am jealous!!!!!!!! I want my little princess here NOW!! LOL (well, not now... it's too soon, she needs some baking still....) but I can't wait!!!!!!! what does it feel like???? Did it hurt???!?!?! I almost want Maddie to be breach so I can have a C-Section!!! lol ;) Im so scared she won't get enough oxigen, or she'll be to big and will get stuck in the birth canal.... =S

Oh Hannah!  I am so very happy for you.  You did such a great job keeping lil' Jacob safe and secure in your belly while he "ripened" for delivery!  Congratultions to both you and DH.    I can't believe you drove yourself to the hospital!   I know it's very close to your home, but my goodness dh should have picked you up!  You go girl!  You are very strong and couragous indeed.  Welcome lil Jacob!!
