pain in eye muscles

Hi,

I am going to write first time in life on such form and i do not know rules & regulations of writing an question. I offer my apologies if you find any grammetical errors in text or inequilibrium in text format.

i am 30 year old computer science student. Since last year, i am feeling pain in eye muscles. In nov 2007 it was quite normal i mean a little pain, some times, but now it become worse. One month earlier, i went to doctor and asked the reason of pain. She had sent me back with prescription. Her comments are

1) its normal pain perhaps the weather is cold thats why you have got problem with your eyes
2) you do not need any kind of glasses

Let me describe a little bit over me perhpas pain in eyes could be result of any following activity

1) i use computer, laptop, more than 14 hours
2) i am smoker , a chain smoker
3) i do not care about drinking, water, and food. I eat whatever i find
4)i do not bother myself involving in any kind of exercise, since last 4 years thats why i become fat.
5) My eyes never turned into red during pain

Now question is, What is the cause of pain and how can i get rid of it. Because the pain in eye's muscles do not allow me to work.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
gsrkhan

I am not a doctor. I am very experienced with helping eye patients, including myself.

I can only say that you should see a doctor very soon. Sounds like you saw an optometrist. You need an MD

Find an eye MD, an ophthalmologist, at www.aao.org.

The doctor will answer you with more information.

Write back if you need to.
