Adenosine is the radioactive tracer that they inject into your artery for the nuclear stress test. This link explains the test very well:

Good luck!
Hi, I had a nuclear stress test, which I was kind of nervous about because I have negative reactions to so many medications. But I survived without incident and heart is fine. However, some of the radioactive tracer settled under my right arm in my right breast area and now I have to have another test(an ultrasound) my doctor frightened me a little because she said in the past when something like this happens to other patients of hers it turns out to be cancer. Should I prepare myself for the worse and hope and pray for the best? Should she have even mentioned this to me without results from the ultrasound?
