GT 3 treatment

Dear Dr. Dieterich,

If I understand correctly from your reply, It would be most suitable for me to treat with Pegasys 180mcg and 1000 mg Ribavirin.

Two of my many questions went unanswered and I would like to ask them again.

1. Would it be a good idea to pre-dose with Ribavirin, and if yes, for how long before starting PegIFN shots?

2. What would be the ideal weeks to have a PCR test done while on treatment, being genotype 3?  Some suggest already at 2 weeks??

There is no data yet on predosing with RBV, but I am getting more convinced of it and would do it myself if I had to start again. The more viral loads the better. 2 weeks is good but mandatory at 4 weeks to predict SVR
