anal gonorrhea

is it possible to have gonorrhea in the anus and not have major symptons. I ask such because I use to have unprotected anal sex over ten years ago.  I noticed that shortly after one ocassion I started finding anal sex very uncomfortable. It seemed as if I was "raw" inside. I know it sounds really rediculous that I would not go get checked but I was too ashamed. I just stopped having anal sex. I have noticed that periodicly I seem to have a strange , almost infected type smell accompanied by an itch for a few days every couple of weeks. It comes and goes and I don't have any other syptoms.  What on earth could that be??

That smell is probably a lodged fecal plug somewhere North of your stretched out sphincter muscle.  Try pooping with your feet resting on a few phone books, apparently this technique provides for a more robust and memorable experience.  Good luck, hope it's a clean break :)

It wouldn't be gonorrhea after 10 years.  Maybe you have some hemmorhoids or something internally.

Its almost shocking that you gave up anal sex for 10 years instead of just getting it checked.  I doubt it is gonorrhea, but seriously - that's easily cured.

If you've never been tested for stds, you really should be.
