Oral Sex

Iv received oral sex Unprotected with 6 different people. Two times i ejaculated in the other persons mouth. One time was in a group with 15 other guys and two girls not prostitutes and i did not ejaculate in either mouth. At one point in this six times i may have had a rug burn with no bleeding that i saw. Recently I have pain in my back which i think is kidney stones but neither myself or my dr are sure i took a ct to find out. Tonight the pain is im my right lower abdomen close to the groin.  The dr checked my red and white count and said they were fine. They told me there is some blood in my urine but i dont see any but still have pain. Iv has some sore joints. Frequent nausea lasting 5-10 min than returning half hr later. I also get chilly and sweat a little. I work in a hospital in plumbing so i come across a lot of sick people and nasty things. I Had a full std panel done today but i will be a week before i hear anything. could this all be nerves. What are my odds of hiv infection from this stupid behavior.

No, I personally have never seen a well documented case of HIV resulting from oral sex.

As for why peole get HIV, it is a numbers game.  Simplistically, millions of people have sex and some of them are unlucky.  EWH

Dr, I know your busy and sorry to bother you. I have a Question. If the risk is 1 in 10000 for oral and 1 in 1000 for vaginal. Have you ever had a patent that got hiv from oral? Also If the risks are so low how are so many people getting hiv?

Thank you for your time. I really appreciate your help.

Oral sex is very close to no risk for getting HIV.  The risk we quote on this site is that your chance of getting HIV is less than 1 in 10,000 exposures, IF your partner is infected.  The fact is that the chances are that none of your partners was HIV infected either.

Some argue that oral sex is even lower risk than I suggest, stating there is no risk.  We are not comfortable with going that far but do classsify it as a very low risk exposure.  Your HIV test will be negative.

As for the pain in your stomach, nausea and chills, they are not due to HIV.  Symptoms are a terrible way to judge risk for HIV.  On the other hand, in your line of work you are regularly exposed to things that could make you sick with just the symptoms you have mentioned.  If the symptoms persist, you need to work through this with your doctor to sort it out.  EWH
