Cairo Sofia arrived on June 23, 2009 and 6:37am.
I had a Dr Appointment on Monday and my Dr re-swept my membranes. After leaving the office I was having some little irregular contractions, which were to be exected but tapered off so I figured it was nothing. That night I went to bed around 10ish and woke up at 11:15 in some serious pain! I stuck it out until 1:30am before waking up my hubby. He called his dad at 2am to come and take our son, and I got to the hospital at 3am. I was checked and was at 4cm. So my Dr admitted me and broke my water. By 5am I was 8cm and by 6:15 I was fully dilated and pushed for 20 minutes. Cairo was born at 6:37am, June 23. The only drugs I used was the laughing gas and a **** of fentinol (sp?).
It was such an amazing experience! However 7 1/2 hours of labour was rather quick, which made it quite painful. It was contraction on top of contraction once my water was broken. But it was so amazing!
