The first couple of days he was looking for her, but so was I. Bear's appetite was not affected. He scarfs his food. Syd (Sydney) lived a good long life (14), caught a lot of birds and she kept our chipmunk population down. Most people don't get it when it comes to animals, so its nice to see a person who gets it.
I'm sorry about Syd, he looks like he was a real nice fellow. As a dog lover, I know how hard it is to make that kind of decision even when we're doing it to save them from suffering.
Oh, I'm sorry to have called Syd a nice fellow. I'm not that great with spelling of names that could be either male or female. She sound like she was a special girl and she lived a long and happy life chasing the birdies and the chipmunks. They're really the best our dogs, aren't they, the depth of their loyalty amazes me.
What a wonderful photo.. It is a nice keepsake. No matter how old I get, or how many animals I have, I cannot deal with losing them ! This truly is a "keeper"
Lisa, I am so sorry. I know you told me about having to put Syd down, but I never saw this picture. They do look like good buds. How are you dealing with it? Are you okay? Love ya honey, Jan
It snow a little on Friday and Syd used to love going out in the snow and run around. I got a little weepy, but we still have bear and he farts enough for both of them. I try not to think about it too much. I need to post some new pictures of Bear. He's such a ham with the camera
