Thanks man....the twins will be four in September. I've been meaning to get on here and update everyone on my current situation. I began a phase III trial on Friday for Danoprivir/r. It Danoprevir and a booster called Ratonovir. I'm doing the peg once a week and six ribos a day. All for 24 weeks which is sweet as I would have been in for 48 with Incivek. I did my first shot and took five pills on Friday morning. This is the end of day four and I have had no side effects. We went to a cook out yesterday and I stayed out of the sun and tried to stay inside as much as possible. The last couple hours I was standing outside in the shade. It was 95 with high humidity in GA, right?! So we hit the sack early and woke up around 2:30....couldn't sleep....started feeling achy and flu like symptoms. So I was up until around 6:00 feeling like, here it is....its catching up with me. Then I crashed hard for a couple hours and woke up at 8:00 feeling much better. Went to work and felt a little off, but not bad. As the day progressed I felt better and was back to normal by noon or so. The administrator said that she is going to ask at their next meeting if its possible that the new drugs inhibit the side effects of the peg. There are only 4 people in the US on this trial and 20 world wide. One other gal is under my doc. She has had it easy for four weeks. She achieved svr in 5 days. They've had excellent results and it has been the most tolerable treatment so far. Not to mention it achieves svr in record time. I go back on Wednesday, day 6, and then again on Friday, day 8. I am hoping that they have my results from day six and I hit svr that quick too. No guarantee, but if not, it should be soon after. So thats been what I've been up to. I've been trying to find time to hit the front page and start telling folks about this trial. If there are some out there that haven't started treatment and don't have to right away, I'm suggesting they wait for this to be approved. The doc said he is sure this one will get approved, but like any of them its all a matter of time. So how are you doing man? I shot Dee a quick line a week or so ago and just haven't been logging on. I was waiting until this thing finally began so I give share the news, good or bad. Fortunately, its been good news so far. You must be getting around week 12, huh?! Somewhere in there....so let me know how its been going. Stay in touch and I'll keep you posted!
