About the Doctor
I qualified as a medical doctor in 1989 at the University of Witwatersand in South Africa. In 1991 I moved to London, where I completed my post-graduate training, becoming an Associate Specialist in Acute HIV Medicine. During this time, I obtained the Diploma in HIV Medicine. I have always been involved in research and have published several scientific papers. I have lectured frequently and widely in many different countries all round the world on HIV, treatment options and am a key opinion former in the use of anti-retrovirals in HIV. Due to this wide experience, I have worked for different international organizations as a medical advisor and have travelled all over the world. I am fluent in English, French and Afrikaans and Zulu.
