EPP (Erythropoietic protoporphyria) and tattoos

A friend of mine has Erythropoietic protoporphyria, better known as EPP. He wants to get a tattoo but is unsure how it will affect his skin... If anyone has any feedback it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

It's not worth it. Few people know much about this disorder. I know it definately affects the skin & a tattoo that could be an ongoing dermatologic issue is a less than good idea!
