Gd. for you. 52 is the young 40. You need your sleep but the
wife needs you. I'd milk this one! You'll need lots of attn
& no taking out the trash for atleast 2 weeks+! Or maybe that favorite desert would settle your anxiety waiting for results.
Thanks again for the advice. I do have an apt. tomorrow with urologist an I will mention it to him, but at this point I think he is convinced (as is my wife) that I go for the prostate biopsy. From what I've heard it sound more traumatic that it really is. I have also suffered in the past from lots of spine and head trauma as I was in a pretty bad MC wreck in 1982, and have had my share of soccer and mountain bike injuries. Everyone seems to distrust Chiropractors, but it worked for me. I was desperate, and against the advice of the neurologist and the GP I went anyway. They claimed it was "quackery" and that drugs and surgery were the answer. I did not feel risking permanent damage though the recommended surgery was acceptable. Oddly enough, after two "cracks", the tingling went away, my posture improved and I was able to get back to the gym to build up my spine muscles again. I was a little miffed that I avoided chiropracters through so many years of pain and stiffness. Oh well each to his/her own. I digress, I will see how this all turns out and let you know. Cheers :)
You are absolutely right. This forum is open to anything neuro
related. My suggestion was just to see if a man's forum would
give you more notice. We're laymen here. Some of us have more
backround than others. If you scan board you will read abt MS/
hdaches/back problems. I thought other forum would help. Keep
posting & maybe get lucky. Perhaps Undx'd Forum or the Dr to
pt Neurology forum & pay for a question or try to click all
night (they take 2 free) ea day from around the world. I think a urology forum would help. I know lots of nerves but the area
is not my best. I know more Spine/Brain. If I come across any
ideas/info I will gladly pass it on to you. I do think you need to give the other forum also more time. I try to help but I have
to limit computer use or I'm in pain later. Might consider a
urologist dept at a teaching university or Mayo?
Thanks, but I guess I'm back to square one. I found no answers from urologists or "mens health" forums. I was grasping at straws here hoping that Neurology here meant more than sensations commonly related to. My undestanding (obviously wrongly)was that it related to all things nerve related. I thought perhaps a pinched or compressed nerve or bundle of nerves somewhere may be causing this. I guess not. Sorry to bother.
The odds of finding someone at this forum would be very remote
that could relate. Click above on FORUMS & then on to the
patient-to patient 'Mens Health'. Gd-luck
That is what I thought, and still my urologist is stumped. I only mention the prostate thing hoping someone would come back with "oh ya!...I had that problem too, and it was a pinched disk in my lower spine and...." well I guess not. I'm really hoping that body position and movements affecting the groin area is NOT an urolgy issue, otherwise I am probably in big trouble. It would take a pretty huge and messed up internal organ to create that much havoc?..ok, enough annoying you good people, and there were no good answers fro mthe prostate/mens forums, or the urology forums, so I guess it is much more serious than I want it to be. Wish me luck!
I don't think you need the neurology forum for this kind of problem. Maybe they have a urology forum.
