Symptoms - Weight loss, salty taste/mouth, rapid heart rate, extreme fatigue

My 59 year old sister has the following symptoms:
Until about 12 months ago, she was vibrant, healthy, and active.
She has lost 20 percent of body weight in last year.

Fatigue - unable to perform household activity like laundry, etc. For example, I doubt she could walk 1/4 mile.

She has a perpetual bad tast in her mouth, she desribes as bitter and salty.

She has a rapid heart rate, especially in a.m.

Lack of appetite and eats about 50 percent of what she did a year ago.

Generally, over last year, she feels ill all of the time and now it's turning into frustration and a sense of depression.

She started menopause about 4 years ago.

She's been to doctors, who can't find anything wrong (family dr and heart specialist). She's been given medicine to slow her heart rate.  Would you have any suggestions as to the type of specialist she should see to deal with these types of symptoms? Thanks.

Perhaps she is dealing with Depression?  Depression can make a person very fatigued, loss of appetite and a host of other physical symptoms.

Has a Doc mentioned that?

Try an endorcringolgist and  they will run a complete blood work up including thryoid antibodies,  (most general practioner doctors just do a regluar check up on thryroid one blodd test,) while an endocrinologist  doctor will run a few different blood tests just for the tyroid inlcuding anitbodies which can diagnose a thryoid problem. This can cause havoc on a body.  good luck
