Ouch! What Bug Just Bit You?

Mosquito Bites

Mosquito Bites

Mosquito bites appear on the skin as soft, pale bumps that become itchy and red. Some people who are highly sensitive to mosquito bites may experience larger areas of itching or swelling around the bite.

Certain species of mosquitoes can transmit serious diseases to humans, including the West Nile virus. If your bite is accompanied by a fever, headache or body aches, nausea or vomiting, a rash or swollen glands, see a doctor immediately.
