can you help me with my 5 yrs old .

I am a 23 yr old Jamaican mother ... my 5 yr old son does not listen to a word I say , he does his own thing , he has a serious temper which includes breaking things if he is sent to his room, if I tell him not trouble something today and I may spank him 4 it he goes back and does it the next day , he constantly does the number two in his clothes at school and he does not do it when he's at home . i don't know what to do .... I am worried for the future . the behavior has gotten by the days , his father and i are not along anymore but i have a new boyfriend and he gets along with him very well . His father took him away from me when he was only 1 1/2 years old and i took him back to live with me when he was 4 yrs old . i don't know if all these  changes are the problem i am sincerely desperate for some advise !!!!!!!!!!!

   You will find help on the forum linked below.  You will also find many posts by people with similar problems.   A quick comment on his bathroom problems at school.  It is not unusual for kids to be afraid to use the bathrooms at school - (or even worse) for teachers to not let them use them during class time.

You have him listed under this forum, but his problems are more likely to be due to his domestic circumstances. How upsetting it must be for a young child to be thrust twice into a totally different environment. It would be helpful to you and your son if you spoke to an experienced therapist or psychologist.
