I'm thirteen and I've been raped.  I've never been close to my parents cuz I'm adopted. The conslers at school don't care. I'm out of people to help me!.  Hho should I tell and how?

I am sorry, was it someone you know ? Being close to your parents may not matter in this instance this should be reported , the perpetrator may do it again to others .Pluck up the courage and speak to someone ,you say the counselors at school dont care, have to told them ?

It happened over the summer. I haven't told someone cuz I'm really scared. Bit another girl told the counlcer and they did nothing to help her.

You didn't really answer Margy's question - was this someone you know?  Do you know how to ID the rapist?  Or was this a stranger who raped you?

Everyone here cares about you, and wants to help.  The more information you can give (obviously not your personal information of the actual ID of the rapist) would be helpful in guiding you.

I know how you feel. Two years ago (when I was 15) I was raped twice by a guy that I knew. It took me a long Time to realize what had really happened and to start accepting it. After it happened I lashed out and dealt with the pain in unhealthy ways. Now I view men in a completely different way. This all happened because I didn't tell anyone. Please don't make the same mistake. This horrible man needs consequences for why he's done to you and for what he may be doing to other innocent girls. I know it may be hard to tell someone this but it's the only way to get through it. I still have a hard time trusting guys and I've been different ever since.
It may be hard but you'll have people there for you helping you through it.

I understand it is scary to speak out thats why so many like the post above do not speak out, you will need to talk it through before the healing can start..If this was a family member can you tell your Mom ?

You say you are not close to your parents because you are adopted. One does not follow the other. My brother has two adopted daughters. He feels about them as he would had they been his biological children. Don't distance your self from your parents. Tell them what has happened.

I was raped when i was 9 by my older brothers bestfriend, its hard to understand what has happened to you & how to explain it but in all honestly you need to tell someone you trust 100% they are the one's who can get the help you need, im now 26 & have two beautiful children, i have nightmares of it happening to me & my daughter is 9 this year, her father was the one to help me over come it because i too was not close to my family, i still am not to this day.. Dont let yourself get dragged down by botteling it up inside, i turned to drugs, alc & gangs because of it & to this day i regret everything i did, i should have talked about it, my life is great now ive been able to let it out & off my shoulders :)
