hot spots on left arm

I sometimes get dark red burn looking bruise marks on my left arm, and I'm wondering if my body is detoxing from the abuse and trauma that I went through.  When I get these marks (which is not very often), they are like deep hot spots and it feels like they go all the way down to the bone in my arm.  Last time I got one, it looked like kindof a faint deep bruise and after massaging it gently, it came to the surface more like a very dark red mark.  They usually feel like hot spots.

I do believe that the mind affects the body so it may be that however other things may cause it aswell, an allergy for instance, have you used a new cream, lotion , shower gel soap , detergent ? Have you any other symptoms , how do you feel ?

It may be an allergy to some kind of soap, although it rarely happens.  I have alot of knots in my back, and alot of tension in my muscles, so I think that may have something to do with it.  I just never see a dark red mark like the ones I'm talking about on anyone else.  When I get them, they're about the color of dark american indian skin.  I got one in high school on my left arm, and then again recently on my left arm again.  My counselor said that sometimes people get pains in their left arm when they're going through issues.  My guess is that maybe it's because the left arm is close to the heart?

As I said I do think that the mind can affect the body and if we are having a bad time it will make us feel physically sick .have you had the doctor look at the marks ? .

No I haven't had a doctor look at them.  I rarely get them, but I'm just so puzzled about what they might be.  Maybe it's a vitamin deficiency.

When do you notice the marks ,could it be something you are laying or leaning on ?

I noticed one when I was in high school over 10 years ago on my left arm, and I noticed one a couple of months ago again on the left arm.  Maybe it's from toxins.  It's not from leaning on it.  Thanks for trying to help, but it's not a really big deal.  I'm pretty sure it's from some kind of toxins.  I'm really horrible at self diagnoses because my mom was a Christian Scientist- so I never got any medical attention as I was growing up :(
