how to not be afraid after abuse

   Thursday I had nose surgery due to a broken nose.  I feel stupid cuz every one keeps asking me how I did it .  I just keep telling them I don't know.   But part of me does know I just don't know how to talk about it with out feeling afraid .  I have alot of support from my family and friends I just don't know how to deal with this by myself.   Has any one ever felt better after telling your family?

Tell them.  You need the support and they will give it.  It will ease your fear.

Is the broken nose related to your entry concerning rape? Did he break it?

Yes and yes it just makes it really uncomfortable cuz of who he is. Its easier to tell after wedding cuz I'm afraid of family reactions

Tell someone you TRUST in your family.You never know maybe they can relate and have a story of their own.HE NEEDS TO BE LOCKED UP.I KNOW UR AFRAID N IM SOOOOO SORRY THIS IS HAPPENING.BUT I WOULD RATHER BE AFRAID OF MY RECOVERY AHEAD, RATHER THAN BE AFRAID CAUSE HES STILL OUT THERE.KEEPING YOU IN PRAYER BABY.

I dont fully completely understand the situation,but what im getting is that your SO is being abusive & broke your nose.you dont deserve that hun.speaking from experience, its much better in the long run to leave & lean on fruends & family than to risk your safety & health.after i told my family about how my exfiance was abusing me,they were the ones that pushed me to do the right thing & file a report.just tell your family.they love you & are there to help you.it helps alot.
