I could have chosen each and every one of the drop down menus. Why oh why and how did he get me to stay? How ? I did find a site that may help someof us it is womenabuseprevention.com it was like I was reading my life for the last five years.I wonder what makes someone so mean  and how thye manage to get us to stay I am having trouble making my own decisions now and I am fearful to be alone he stole my confidence. There are a lot of folks in your situation take a look at the differant forums, you can join a few for input, there are friends on MH . Can you tell us your story so others can learn and have input for you, if you dont want to be public you can PM (private Message ) anyone, I am assuming that your husband/partner is abusive to you, have you any children?there are a lot of frustrated people out there who take their frustrations out on others ,you could do with standing up to him, easy said than done I hear you say, but others have done just that, I am one.come back let us know how you are doing and know we care.
