unable to keep interview clothes

I have told my abusive husband that I want to apply for a job, but he just recently stole my gray interview dress I just bought.  All my work clothes seem to be destroyed by him. Why is he so opposed to me having a job? What can I do with this jealous overbearing husband?

Abusive husbands do whatever they can to keep their spouses dependent without recourse, and alienated from other's so that their dirty little secrets are kept as such... I feel for you because i've been there. I'm now in a relationship with a kind caring genuinely selfless individual that I care more for than i ever could of with a misogynist. I guess he wants you to be completely dependent on him. You don't discuss the details of his abuse (other than the job thing) so why you remain in this position is unclear. As to the job, keep your business clothing at a friend's house.
