8th month of accutane and still breaking out

hey i m raj.. n on my 8th month of accutane 40 mg a day n i m still breakin out. this was suppose to b my last month n i was lookin forward to a clear skin but few days ago i broke out again i had 2 cystic acne on my cheeks ... i also saw few more bumps forming inside the skin which i c whn i stretc my skin alittle n d kinda bumps which hve formed as cystic acne bfre .... em really scared... do u think i shuld increase my dose n stay on accutane a month mre or just get off acuutane as i hve 6 pills left n continue wid benzolyn peroxide and retin-A as prescribed by my derm? do u think all those bumps which i c inside my skin r gnna cme out as a pimple? i really need help wid this... answers will b gr8lh apreciated . THNX

I was on 40mg a day of Accutane for six months and I broke out the entire time. I had to wait until I was completely off Accutane for my skin to clear.

Hi. 20% of Accutane patients (including myself) require a second or third course. You must wait 8 weeks inbetween courses. Finish this course and see if you warrant a second course in 8 weeks time. I would not use Retin-A or benzoyl peroxide immediately after Accutane as your skin will be sensitized and more prone to side effects of topical medications.
