How are you? What other symptoms are present? Acne occurs when pores become clogged with excess oil, dirt, bacteria, and cells. The blockage is called a plug or comedone and if this breaks open, swelling and red bumps occur. Acne that is deep in the skin can cause hard, painful cysts called cystic acne- which may be the ones you have on your chest. Regular cleansing of these skin lesions may help. Try also to avoid scratching them to prevent secondary bacterial infection. If it persists, it i s best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Prescription medication may help. Take care and do keep us posted.
