Burning redness of the face

by Poohjah, Jan 06, 2009 10:07AM
Whenever I go to the gym or do outside excercise (fasting walking or running the track in summer) my face, only my face starts to burn and get really hot and red all over which looks disgusting. What is causing this burning redness? What can I do to get rid of it? Will I have to live with this for the rest of my life or it will go away eventually? Thank you.

Facial redness can be a symptom of a condition like Rosacea so get it checked out by your doctor. If it is Rosacea your doctor can prescribe topical metronidozole or oral oxytetracycline.
Facial redness can be induced by extremes of temperatures, foods high in histamines, hot drinks, alcohol and caffeine.
Fortunately, there are some really good over-the-counter ranges for facial redness. My top 3 are: Rosaliac by La Roche-Posay, Redness Relief by Eucerin and Redness Solutions by Clinique. You can also order all these products online.
Eloise.
