Ok. I am new to this but I have some burning questions. Here it goes. I have a lot of pimples and can not get rid of them. I change my pillowcase regularily, wash my face, have medication and I am trying to cut down on sugar. Can anyone help me?

Hi. Acne is caused by a sensitivity to the effects of androgens. Androgens are hormones, the levels of which are commonly raised at your age. Androgens stimulate the oil glands in the skin. Bacteria on the skin feeds off this oil, blocking the pores and leading to spots.
You don't say which medication you have? The usual standard treatment for acne is a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline and/or a topical retinoid such as Differin (adapalene 0.1%). It can take about 3 months for acne to respond to this medication so use it regularly and be patient.
