Second Course of Accutane

Second Course of Accutane

hi i am new to the community.
i used to have mild-severe acne, only on my face, and i tried everything from topical (benza-clin/mycine, retina, differin...proactiv), and antibiotics(Doryx, tetracyclin), and even microdermabrasion. my derm never suggested accutane till a last resort bc absolutley nothing worked.  I started my accutane in May of 2007 and it litererally changed my life.  No lie my skin was completely clear after the first three weeks.  I had no initial breakout or anything.  My skin was absolutely perfect.  I stayed on it for only four months bc i responded so well.  I had no side effects at all and my skin did not even dry out.  I took a very low dosage, only one tablet a day.  My skin stayed very clear for about three-four months after but then i notice i got oily and i started getting small break outs again.

Now it has been a year off accutane.  Although my skin is not nearly as bad as it used to be, nothing is helping clear it up.  I have used proactiv, benza-clin, and differin religously too see if my skin would respond to it better after the accutane therapy.  My derm will not suggest a second course because she thinks that my acne is only superficial.  But i know my skin and it is only getting worse little by little.  I had such a wondeful experience with accutane and feel i am a very good candidate for a second course.  Please let me know what you think. right now i am looking for a new doctor and trying a birth control that is proven to help acne.. i think its trinessa.
