accutane 2nd course

okay im doing 2nd course of accutane because my acne come back after 8 months off accutane.on my 1st course,i got very bad initial breakout and it takes 6 months to clear my face..my question is

-in 2nd course,how long does it takes to clear my acne?is it the same as the 1st course?

-will i get the inital breakout again on the 2nd course?

Hi.
There is no way of accuratey predicting whether you will get an initial breakout or not. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Again, it will take around 16-24 weeks to clear your acne. Some people achieve clear skin quicker than this, but you must complete the course to minimise the risk of your acne returning.
Do stick with it, a second course of Accutane is your best hope of a long term remission from acne. 80% of patients remain clear after one course, the other 20% -including myself- warrant a second course. It's worth it, see the photos in my profile.
