clear up pimples?!

clear up pimples?!

im an 18 year old male.. on my chin, i have little spots under the skin which you can only see close up and when the skin is stretched. in time, these spots come out and become white pimples. when they go away they leave marks which i hate. i only really get them in the same area, below the lip (chin). WHat is the best thing to do? i use neutrogena cream at night (dermatologist told me to use this) and i have started a low GI diet. Its been about 4 months and no real difference. I also take a medication which is supposed to balance my hormones or something. What else can i do? and i do not mind spending money (laser etc..) i just want them to go!!! I think once i get rid of the ones under the skin, they will start to go and not always come out. There  hasnt been a time where my face is clear if pimples.
Thank you god bless

Androgens (male hormones) stimulate the sebaceous glands which produce oil, and the hairs which grow from them. If you have high levels of androgen (for example during puberty) or are particularly sensitive to the effect of androgens, you may have excess oil. Bacteria on the skin feeds off this oil and inflammed acne spots occur. Effective treatments will target one or more of the features of acne: high androgen levels, oil, bacteria and inflammation.
Oral antibiotics such as Lymecycline or oxytetracycline will attack the acne-causing bacteria on the skin. A course of antibiotics for acne will last at least 12 weeks, and further courses may be required if your tendancy to acne persists.
Topical preparations such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide will dry the skin. Benzoyl peroxide combined with clindamycin (called Duac gel) is particularly effective.
Inflammation and soreness can be treated with a topical retinoid such as Differin, or nicotinamide (sold as Freederm).
Female acne patients can take an anti-androgen contraceptive pill called Diane35 (Dianette in the UK) which blocks the effect of androgens on the skin.
Use a bland cleansing routine which is non-acnegenic. A good cleansing routine is important but will not in itself clear acne.
There is no medical evidence that diet effects the abnormal skin processes invloved in acne. It is a skin condition and should be treated as such.
Eloise.
