garlic burns on face

Hi, I'm a 25 year old girl, recently I have had several acne on my face and so to cure it applied garlic. However, I made the mistake of keeping it overnight and as a result it left several dark brown scars on my face. Is there any natural home remedy or natural way to heal the scars? Will Betnovet ointment help?

Hi. I wouldn't recommend putting garlic on your face. Use a bland cleanser until it calms down (Physiological gel by La Roche Posay or Eucerin or Lutsine). Talk to a pharmacist about taking an antihistamine tablet such as Piriton (available without prescription, always read the label) to calm irritation.
Once your skin has calmed down see your doctor for a prescription gel such as Differin or a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline or Lymecycline. Taking the combined oral contraceptive pill will help as acne is hormonal. Avoid the mini-pill, depot shot or hormonal IUD as these can induce acne.
